What the report says

Output shown is produced by the PlainScan parser from the sentence on the left — the same code path your report goes through. Fictional report; educational use only, not medical advice.

Explain a report

Paste the text of your radiology report below. We process it to generate your explanation — the text itself is never stored.

0 characters Tip: the Findings and Impression sections are the parts that matter most.

Your report text is never stored — processed to generate your explanation, then discarded. How we handle your data

Illustrative example
I stared at the words "disc desiccation" for a week before my appointment. PlainScan told me it basically meant normal wear and tear. I walked into my doctor's office calm instead of terrified.

Illustrative example
The questions to ask my doctor were the best part. I actually used two of them, and my doctor said they were exactly the right things to ask.

How it works

  1. Paste your report. Copy the text from your patient portal or scan and paste it here.
  2. Get plain English. We break down each finding, what it means, and what's been ruled out.
  3. Talk to your doctor. Bring the generated questions to your appointment — the explanation is a starting point, not a diagnosis.

Questions, answered honestly

Is my report text stored?

No — never. Your pasted report text is processed transiently to generate your explanation and then discarded. We couldn't sell or leak it if we wanted to; we don't have it.

Is this medical advice?

No. HivePlainScan explains what your report says in plain English. It doesn't diagnose you, doesn't tell you what to do, and never replaces your physician. If a finding worries you, that worry belongs in your doctor's office, not a search bar.

What does it cost?

Basic explanations are free forever — no account, no trial, no catch. A $9.99 one-time Premium Report adds deeper detail and a printable PDF. Clinic plans ($299–$499/month) fund the free tier for everyone else.

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to remember. Paste, read, done. Your explanations stay on your device, in your browser, under your control.

My report mentions something scary. What now?

Scary-sounding words are often routine — radiologists describe everything they see, including harmless variants. Read your explanation, write down the questions it suggests, and bring them to your doctor, who knows your history. Don't let a phrase on a page decide how you feel before that conversation.

How accurate is the explanation?

It translates the words on your report faithfully — including tricky negations like "no evidence of" — but it can only explain what's written. If your report is ambiguous, the explanation says so instead of guessing. When in doubt, your radiologist's words and your doctor's judgment win.
